Highlights of my current role include, but are not limited to:
  • Design Lead for the World Team, which oversees development of zones, points of interest, dynamic events, encounters, and PVE content for the contiguous Open World.​​
  • Manager to Level Designers, fostering development through empathetic 1:1's, delegation, and mentorship to refine design sensibilities and accelerate career growth.
  • Feature Owner to high-profile initiatives such as Dynamic Events (Corruption Breaches), Holiday Events (Winter Convergence), World Events, and PVE Arenas (Zygoramet's Grove), to name a few.; guiding cross-discipline strike-teams from concept to completion.
  • Establishes and evangelizes design metrics and guidelines to maintain consistency in technical knowledge and workflows across the wider team.​

Winter Convergence (Holiday Events)
Feature owner responsible for establishing the direction and foundation of Holiday Events for New World. Guided a cross-departmental team to build out the required tech, UI, art, rewards, and general content to develop this high-impact feature from concept to completion. I am incredibly proud of the entire team rallying together to build out this first major Holiday Event, and of the positive player reception.

Players engage with a variety of activities to earn Event Tokens (Standard and Premium) and Event Reputation, unlocking access to purchasing time-limited Event Rewards.

CORRUPTION BREACHES (DYNAMIC EVENT)
Feature owner of each of the 6 Corrupted Breach-types and responsible for establishing the final direction of integration and setup. On this, I worked with a small team of engineers to pioneer the required tech and a strike team consisting of AI, Art, VFX, and Audio to develop this feature from concept to ship.

Mourningdale (World Development)
Zone Design Owner for Mourningdale. Worked with a small team of environment, terrain, and world-builder artists to build the Zone and its POIs from my paper-map concept to shippable product.

Rabbit Island (World Event)
Rabbit Island was the proof of concept for my initiative to incorporate scripted events (World Events) into the Open World to enhance the sense of intrigue and rewarding exploration.

Gameplay Walkthrough

Spoiler Alert!
Players discover an eerie scene of a small island overrun with rabbits and a single lore note speaking of a white rabbit named Stanley. Explore the island and identify Stanley against the crowd of standard rabbits. Killing Stanley shrouds the island in shadow and summons the vengeful fury of the "Harekeeper!"  ​
This scene received unanimous praise by the community, and Stanley became a New World celebrity.​
